A day at Stanford University

Well, Jellybean and I safely arrived and settled into our 3 week home in Mountain View, California! It was a tough week for me getting back into the swing of work, but I survived. It was also a tough week for Jellybean learning that most of his days will be spent entertaining himself while we’re at work, but he is adapting.
We have a comfy little studio at the Marriot Residence Inn, and the staff and services are really very, very good. For you animal lovers, this location is pet-friendly for a nominal fee. Also, to be able to prepare your own food, they also offer a daily breakfast and dinner buffet, and the property is very green and has a friendly relaxing setting.

This weekend from our Dad-in-Chief fly up to check on us and so off we went to tour the Stanford University Campus (although I work at the hospital during the week, I rarely have time to walk over to the school.) What a large and beautiful campus! It is home to a lot of great artwork and exciting architecture. I imagine it takes a full two days to walk the entire school.

We saw plenty of people walking, sightseeing as well as a lot of potential high school-college tours. And, yes, George and Jellybean did wear their USC gear on campus (smile).

Mountain View is a charming, laid-back city nestled at the foot of the mountains between San Jose and Palo Alto. I thought Lake Elsinore was cold, but 37 degrees surely beats any weather we get at home!
So here are some photos that George took, so please enjoy them!
